Trade Alert: Senior Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain Of Garrett Motion Thierry Mabru Has Sold Stock
Garrett Motion Inc. GTX | 0.00 |
We wouldn't blame Garrett Motion Inc. (NASDAQ:GTX) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that Thierry Mabru, the Senior Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain recently netted about US$2.3m selling shares at an average price of US$33.00. That's a big disposal, and it decreased their holding size by 32%, which is notable but not too bad.
Garrett Motion Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the President, Olivier Rabiller, sold US$8.7m worth of shares at a price of US$20.32 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (US$31.58). When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. However, while insider selling is sometimes discouraging, it's only a weak signal. It is worth noting that this sale was only 47% of Olivier Rabiller's holding.

We've certainly seen higher levels of insider ownership elsewhere, but these holdings are enough to suggest alignment between insiders and the other shareholders.
