Traders see Fed on hold this year, with some chance of a rate hike
May 12 (Reuters) - Traders on Tuesday pared bets the Federal Reserve will raise its policy rate by the end of this year, anticipating instead that it will hold rates steady, after government data showed consumer prices rose 3.8% last month from a year earlier.
Short-term interest-rate futures prices now reflect about a one in four chance of a rate hike by December, down from closer to one in three before the inflation data.
