UPDATE 1-Kia to recall about 463,000 US vehicles over fire risk, regulator says

Adds details from paragraph 2 onwards

- Kia America will recall 462,869 Telluride crossovers in the U.S. as the front power seat motor may overheat, potentially causing a fire while the vehicle is parked or being driven, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Thursday.

The regulator said the motor may overheat due to a stuck power seat slide knob or an improper recall repair, increasing the risk of a fire.

As a remedy, dealers will install an electronic fuse assembly free of charge, NHTSA added.
