HANOI, April 10 (Reuters) - OKX Ventures and HashKey Capital will invest in Vietnam's CAEX, an affiliate of VPBank Securities VPX.HM, to develop a crypto asset exchange in Vietnam, VPBank Securities said on Friday.

  • The companies' investment will boost CAEX's charter capital to $380 million this month, it said in a statement.

  • The companies have signed an MoU on strategic cooperation for the project, it said.

  • OKX Ventures and HashKey Capital will also work with CAEX on areas including technical infrastructure, security systems, compliance and risk management, as well as liquidity connectivity, it added.

  • OKX Ventures is an investment arm of OKX, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges.

  • CAEX is one of five companies to have passed an initial qualification round for licences from the Ministry of Finance to launch the country's ​first cryptocurrency exchanges.
