- JPMorgan Chase JPM.N, the largest U.S. lender, is overhauling its investment bank leadership as part of a wider reorganization, according to multiple announcements on Wednesday.

As part of the reshuffle, investment banking coverage chief Dorothee Blessing, global head of capital markets Kevin Foley and global co-head of the financial institutions group Jared Kaye have been appointed as the new co-heads of global investment banking.

JPMorgan has also promoted veteran Anu Aiyengar as the global chair of investment banking and M&A. She most recently served as the firm's global head of advisory and M&A.

The overhaul comes as global dealmaking continues to accelerate in 2026, underpinned by a friendlier regulatory regime in the U.S.

Deals worth roughly $2 trillion have been announced as of May 11, up 33% from the same period a year earlier, according to Dealogic data.

In the first three months of 2026, JPMorgan's investment banking fees surged 28%, as it earned more from advising on deals and underwriting share sales.

JPMorgan has remained the leader in the investment banking landscape this year, Dealogic data showed.

Charles Bouckaert, JPMorgan's co-head of industrials investment banking, will become the global head of M&A. Elsewhere, Stathis Karanikolaidis will become the head of North America leveraged finance.

JPMorgan is also strengthening its investment banking franchise by bringing together industry coverage groups and sectoral M&A teams under a unified structure.

The Financial Times first reported the changes on Tuesday.
