US Cash Grains-Corn basis rises at elevators, ethanol plants
CHICAGO, June 11 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn were flat to up at elevators and ethanol plants in a spot check of locations in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday, as futures ticked down.
Spot corn basis bids rose at elevators in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Blair, Nebraska.
They also rose at ethanol plants in Linden, Indiana, Union City, Indiana, and Annawan, Illinois.
Corn and soybean futures trading was muted as the U.S. Department of Agriculture made few changes to its U.S. corn and soybean estimates in its supply and demand report on Thursday.
U.S. corn ending stocks for the 2025/26 marketing year were raised by 3 million bushels to 2.145 billion bushels, while 2025/26 soybean ending stocks were unchanged at 340 million bushels.
Cooler weather and rain in the U.S. Midwest next week are likely to aid the developing corn and soybean crops, according to Commodity Weather Group.
