US energy firms pull crude from SPR for 11th week, stocks fall to lowest since Aug 2023, EIA says

NEW YORK, June 10 (Reuters) - U.S. energy firms pulled crude from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) for an 11th week in a row during the week ended June 5, cutting the total amount of oil in the SPR to 349.2 million barrels, the lowest since August 2023, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its weekly Petroleum Status Report on Wednesday.
That was the first time energy firms pulled oil out of the SPR for 11 weeks in a row since July 2023.
