- Viridian Therapeutics VRDN.O said on Tuesday it has signed a manufacturing agreement with WuXi Biologics to support commercial supply of its experimental drug if approved.

  • WuXi Biologics will make and supply both the drug substance and final product for veligrotug, Viridian's treatment for thyroid eye disease, a condition that causes eye swelling and vision problems.

  • The agreement makes WuXi Biologics a non-exclusive supplier, allowing Viridian Therapeutics to source the drug from other manufacturers as well.

  • Viridian Therapeutics said it will provide monthly forecasts of demand, with part of those orders treated as firm and non-cancellable commitments.

  • The company added that pricing under the deal will depend on volumes, with service fees fixed through the end of 2026 and subject to annual adjustments afterward.

  • Viridian said it will also cover certain additional costs incurred by WuXi Biologics during manufacturing.

  • The initial term of the agreement is five years, and Viridian Therapeutics said it will automatically renew for further five-year periods unless either party opts out in advance.

  • Viridian noted it can terminate the deal if legal changes affect WuXi Biologics' ability to perform services, while either side can also exit in case of breach or financial distress.

  • The company said the agreement includes standard terms on product quality, deliveries, regulatory compliance and dispute handling.
