We'd be surprised if Perdoceo Education Corporation (NASDAQ:PRDO) shareholders haven't noticed that the VP of Accounting & Reporting and Chief Accounting Officer, Michele Peppers, recently sold US$483k worth of stock at US$34.50 per share. Perdoceo Education Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Senior VP & Chief Information Officer, David Czeszewski, sold US$763k worth of shares at a price of US$32.81 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (US$33.78). We generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they did so below the current price, because it implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. Please do note, however, that sellers may have a variety of reasons for selling, so we don't know for sure what they think of the stock price. This single sale was just 44% of David Czeszewski's stake.

Insider Ownership
I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. Usually, the higher the insider ownership, the more likely it is that insiders will be incentivised to build the company for the long term. We've certainly seen higher levels of insider ownership elsewhere, but these holdings are enough to suggest alignment between insiders and the other shareholders.
