July 15 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh on Wednesday said President Donald Trump hadn't asked him to do anything inappropriate and if Trump were to do that he would not do it.

Warsh's remark came in response to a line of questioning from U.S. senators about whether he had spoken with Trump, who appointed him, since Warsh was sworn in nearly two months ago. He declined to say directly whether he had spoken with Trump, but said he did not think it was appropriate to disclose the substance of his communications with administration officials.
