Worker injured in oil rig explosion in Venezuela dies, sources say
MARACAIBO/CARACAS, June 30 (Reuters) - One of 17 workers injured in an explosion and fire at an oil rig operated by Venezuela's state-run energy company PDVSA has died, three sources with knowledge of the matter said on Tuesday.
Most of the people injured had been taken to hospitals in Venezuela and neighboring Colombia following the accident, which happened at PDVSA's Colven 02 rig in Apure state.
PDVSA did not reply to a request for comment.
