Erdogan to the German Chancellor: Don't you see that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza?
Ankara, October 30 (Reuters) - Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan strongly criticized Germany during a joint news conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Ankara on Thursday for what he described as its disregard for Israel's "genocide" in Gaza and the famine in the Palestinian territory.
Erdogan stated that Israel possesses nuclear weapons and other weapons which it uses and threatens Gaza with, while the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) possesses none. He added that Israel attacked Gaza again in recent days despite the ceasefire agreement in the Strip.
"Doesn't Germany see this?" he asked, stressing that it is a humanitarian duty for Türkiye, Germany and other countries to end the famine and massacres in Gaza.
