LE BOURGET, France, June 16 (Reuters) - Saudi Arabian aircraft leasing company Avilis said on Monday it had placed a firm order for 30 Airbus narrowbody aircraft and 10 A350 freighters in its first direct deal with the European planemaker.

Aviles CEO Ted O'Byrne said at a press conference at the Paris Air Show that the company also acquired options that could bring the total purchase to 77 aircraft.

Reuters had previously reported that the Saudi company was close to placing an order with Airbus.
