Riyadh - Mubasher: ACWA Power announced that it received today, Thursday, November 7, 2024, a notification from the project company for the Riverside photovoltaic solar power plant located in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan, that it has received the commercial operation certificate for the first phase of the project to produce solar photovoltaic energy and store energy in batteries.

The company explained that the production capacity of the first phase amounts to about 200 megawatts of photovoltaic solar energy.

She added: The capacity of battery energy storage, which is the second phase of the project and is under construction, is 334 megawatts (550 megawatt hours).

ACWA Power expects the financial impact of the plant’s operation to appear during the fourth quarter of 2024.
