Riyadh - Mubasher: The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has launched a guide for occupational safety and health standards, which will serve as a unified reference for specialists, operating establishments, and relevant entities in the Kingdom. The organization explained, in a statement issued on Sunday, that the guide to occupational safety and health standards was launched during the 7th International Conference on Occupational Safety and Health 2025, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources in the capital, Riyadh, from May 4-6.
She pointed out that the guide was prepared in accordance with the most prominent international practices in the field of occupational safety and health, and will benefit employers, facility workers, and inspectors in understanding the preventive standards that contribute to reducing occupational injuries and hazards in the workplace.
The guide also includes more than 4,500 standards covering six main sectors: general industries, construction, agriculture, maritime activities, transportation, and mining. It also includes a more comprehensive classification of more than 70 sectors based on the National Directory of Economic Activities.
The guide's standards will contribute to enhancing productivity and economic sustainability, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to achieve a prosperous economy by creating safe and stimulating work environments.
