Al-Othaim Life: We seek to attract more international brands

Riyadh - Mubasher: Ali Al-Sharif, CEO of Al-Othaim Life, said that the company seeks to attract more global brands and acquire about 20 local brands, as 300 stores were acquired in 2024 .
This came during his interview with "Mubasher TV" on the sidelines of the "Global Retail Leaders Forum 2025" held in Riyadh, explaining the company's developments and future plans .
He added that "Othaim Life" is one of the subsidiaries of the Othaim Group, which specializes in developing shopping malls in the Kingdom. The company currently manages 10 shopping malls with 22 projects under construction in various regions of the Kingdom, including sub-cities .
He added that the company operates in multiple fields including fashion and lifestyle retail, entertainment, food, hotels, cinema, sports, and artificial intelligence, which are complementary fields to support the success of commercial projects. He pointed out that "Othaim Life" includes 38 global brands, such as "Do", "Suikiki", "La Senza", "Lavinrose", and "Monsoon", and other brands that have achieved great success in the Saudi market .
The CEO confirmed that the company employs about 2,300 employees, 90% of whom are Saudis, and the company is working to strengthen its presence across the Kingdom. He added that 2024 was an important year for the company, as it witnessed remarkable growth from 3 brands in 2021 to about 40 brands currently .
The CEO also touched on the Saudi market, which he described as rich and diverse, stressing that “Othaim Life” aims to provide the best for the Saudi consumer in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, with a focus on preparing its malls to receive tourists, which enhances its role as a major commercial destination in the Kingdom .
