PRESSR: Air Arabia begins direct flights between Sharjah and Damascus
Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, today celebrated the resumption of its direct flights between Sharjah and Damascus.
The departure ceremony at Sharjah International Airport this morning was attended by His Excellency Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, Mr. Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, and Mr. Ziad Yahya Zaher Al Din, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. at the Consulate General of the Syrian Arab Republic in the United Arab Emirates.
Upon arrival at Damascus International Airport, the flight was welcomed with a special ceremony attended by His Excellency Hassan Ahmed Mohammed Sulaiman Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, along with senior airport management and a number of distinguished guests.
Air Arabia's resumption of flights to the Syrian capital reflects its ongoing commitment to expanding its regional network and providing convenient and affordable travel options for passengers. The new service operates twice daily, providing passengers with greater flexibility and ease of travel between the UAE and Syria.
Customers can book their direct flights between Sharjah and Damascus by visiting the Air Arabia website, contacting the customer service center, or through travel agents.
Air Arabia operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, the world's newest and best-selling single-aisle aircraft. The aircraft's cabin offers added comfort with the largest seat pitch of any economy class cabin. The aircraft is equipped with SkyTime, a free in-flight streaming service that allows passengers to access a wide range of movies and entertainment directly on their devices. Passengers can also enjoy a variety of delicious dishes and snacks from the onboard SkyCafe menu at affordable prices.
