Riyadh - Mubasher: The World Travel and Tourism Council ( WTTC ) announced that the Qiddiya Destination Marketing and Management Executive Office, "Spirit of Play," has joined the company as a new destination partner, marking a significant milestone in the development of the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia.

The Executive Office, as the entity responsible for marketing and managing Qiddiya's destinations, is dedicated to establishing the city as a leading global destination in the travel and tourism sectors, and a home for the concept of "play" in its entertainment, sports, and cultural fields, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Julia Simpson, CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council, said: “The Executive Office embodies the spirit of play, the essence of innovation and transformation that is taking place in the Kingdom’s tourism sector. Qiddiya is not just a destination, but a movement that is redefining the relationship between people, tourism, entertainment, and culture.”

Simpson noted the council's aspiration to support the Kingdom in redefining travel experiences across the region, adding that this partnership reflects Qiddiya's commitment to sustainable development and its ambition to become a global destination for entertainment and tourism.

Located 40 minutes from Riyadh, Qiddiya is one of the Kingdom's most prominent projects under Vision 2030. It aims to diversify the economy and improve quality of life. The city embodies the "Power of Play" philosophy in all aspects of its development, offering immersive experiences in entertainment, sports, and culture.

Qiddiya's plans include unique projects such as a race track featuring "The Blade," the world's first suspended spin; the "Flight of the Falcon" ride at Six Flags Qiddiya City, the tallest, fastest, and longest in the world; and Aquaria, the region's largest water park.
