WASHINGTON, April 7 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that the United States and Iran are holding direct talks on Tehran's nuclear program.

"We are having direct talks with Iran, and they have started. They will continue on Saturday. We have a very important meeting, and we will see what happens. I think everyone agrees that reaching an agreement would be better," he told reporters.
