Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Naif Al-Dosari, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Sports in the Kingdom, today officially opened FIBO Arabia 2025, the Middle East's leading international trade fair for the health and fitness sectors and an extension of the FIBO World Expo, which has a legacy of more than 40 years.

This exhibition, hosted by Riyadh at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center, represents an important step in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's journey towards becoming a global hub for sports, physical activity, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Organized by RX Arabia, FIBO Arabia will be held under the theme "For a Strong and Healthy Society" from October 1 to 3, 2025. The event will bring together more than 140 international and regional exhibitors and 50 global speakers, and is expected to attract 10,500 visitors over three days of exciting events.

During the official opening tour, Naif Al-Dosari, accompanied by a number of senior officials from RX Arabia, the Ministry of Investment, and the Saudi Ministry of Health, visited several regional and international participating entities, as well as the main areas of the exhibition.

On this occasion, Vassil Zhygalo, General Manager of the Middle East and Emerging Markets at Rx, the organizer of the exhibition, said: “The launch of FIBO Arabia today marks the beginning of a new era in the health and fitness sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, driven by innovation, investment, and collaboration across various sectors. We are pleased to collaborate with leaders in the public and private sectors to promote a better health environment across the region.”

“FIBO Arabia takes a holistic approach to health, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, showcasing the latest global fitness technologies and innovations, along with pioneering community-wide health initiatives,” Zigalo added. “From empowering youth and women to supporting professional development and industry growth, FIBO Arabia is a catalyst for long-term positive impact, contributing to building a healthier, more resilient, and more stable society.”

One of the key sessions on the first day of the exhibition, titled "Fostering the Growth of the Fitness and Wellness Sector in the Kingdom," offered a comprehensive overview of how Vision 2030 is accelerating the development of this sector through advanced infrastructure and labor policy reforms.

The session focused heavily on the concept of inclusivity, addressing strategies for attracting diverse consumer groups, particularly women. It also reviewed the role of dedicated sports facility design, diverse sports programs, and the spread of women's sports clubs in changing the standards of exercise across the Kingdom.

The session was chaired by Herman Rutgers, President of Global Growth Partners, and included contributions from Nasser Obaid, CEO of Pure Gym Saudi Arabia; Hani Abdulhafeez Al-Bukhari, CEO of Riyadh Boxing Club; and Nathan Clute, Head of Strategy at Armah Sports.

In another context, regional and international thought leaders, such as Eve Pressler, Lisa Starr, and Professor Elie Rached, shared their insights on various topics, including investing in fitness, women's health, and holistic performance, emphasizing the importance of FIBO Arabia's role in providing an ideal platform for exchanging innovative ideas in the field of health and fitness.

Among the exhibition's highlights, the Performance Zone hosted the first rounds of the FIBO Arabia Elite Championship, organized by the Saudi Bodybuilding Federation. This championship serves as a qualifier for the IFBB World Bodybuilding Championship, with the best Saudi athletes competing to qualify for the World Bodybuilding Championship, which will be held later this year. The Power Zone, organized by the Saudi Power Sports Committee, also hosted IFBB-sanctioned weightlifting competitions.

Meanwhile, the Technology Sports Activities Zone, presented by the Saudi Rowing Federation, highlighted the latest innovations, including virtual reality-enabled endurance challenges and indoor rowing simulators that blend fitness with immersive technology.

The activities launched today also included a group sports activities area, in exclusive partnership with Lez Mills, offering a variety of highly effective fitness exercises. The first day's activities concluded with a bodyweight exercise area, organized by Rhythm Calisthenics Saudi Arabia.

The FIBO Arabia exhibition is organized by RX Arabia under the theme "For a Strong and Healthy Society," in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. It is supported by the Saudi Ministry of Investment as a strategic partner, the Ministry of Sports as an executive partner, and the Saudi Ministry of Health as a healthy living partner.

Over the next two days, FIBO Arabia will offer a comprehensive program featuring several panel discussions, interactive events, and live sports competitions, providing a unique opportunity to learn about the latest trends, technologies, and ideas shaping the future of the fitness and wellness sectors in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
