Earthquake hits Cyprus, no damage reported

- An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 5.2 shook parts of Cyprus on Wednesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage.

The earthquake occurred at approximately 11:32 a.m. local time (0932 GMT).

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake was also felt by residents in Lebanon.

Cyprus is located in a seismically active region, but earthquakes rarely cause damage there.
