PRESSR: His Royal Highness the Crown Prince announces the launch of the "King Salman Gate" project in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
Makkah, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ru'ya Al-Haram Al-Makki Company - may God protect him - announced the launch of the "King Salman Gate" project as a multi-use destination in Makkah.
The King Salman Gate extends over a total built-up area of 12 million square meters adjacent to the Grand Mosque.
The project aims to achieve a qualitative shift in the development of the infrastructure of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and the central area in particular, to become a global model for urban development. It will be a major contributor to supporting efforts to develop the region and facilitate visits, while providing high-quality services to visitors to the House of God, enriching their religious and cultural journey, in line with the objectives of the Guests of God Service Program.
The King Salman Gate project boasts a strategic location next to the Grand Mosque. It is a multi-use destination that primarily aims to enhance the service offerings and provide residential, cultural, and service facilities surrounding the Grand Mosque. The project also adds a capacity of approximately 900,000 worshippers in the internal prayer halls and external courtyards.
The project is connected to public transportation to facilitate access to the Grand Mosque and represents an exceptional, harmonious blend of Makkah's rich architectural heritage with the finest modern lifestyles, ensuring the highest levels of comfort. The project also aims to preserve Makkah's historical and cultural heritage by developing and rehabilitating approximately 19,000 square meters of cultural and heritage areas, enriching the visitor experience and contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in terms of economic diversification by creating more than 300,000 job opportunities by 2036, God willing.
The King Salman Gate project is being developed by Ru'ya Al-Haram Al-Makki Company, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF). The company supports the implementation of its strategy by elevating the urban development of the area surrounding the Grand Mosque, making it one of the best global development models.
