NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, which is building the largest green hydrogen production plant in the world, announced that it has received the first batch of wind energy turbines after their arrival at NEOM Port, located in Oxagon, the city of clean and advanced industries.

The successful receipt of these turbines, which took place on October 8, represents a qualitative progress in terms of establishing and developing this huge global project, while work is currently underway to transport these turbines by land to the wind power station located near the Gulf of Aqaba, for the purpose of assembling and installing them.

It is expected to receive more wind turbines until the end of this year, in addition to NEOM's green hydrogen wind power station, which will eventually include more than 250 turbines to supply the green hydrogen plant with energy through a direct electricity transmission network.

NEOM's green hydrogen factory, located in Oxagon, will benefit from up to 4 gigawatts of solar and wind energy, to produce up to 600 tons per day of carbon-free hydrogen, and with the completion of the factory's operational capacity by 2026, the company will export 100 % of the total green hydrogen being produced to various parts of the world, in the form of green ammonia, and through an exclusive long-term purchase agreement extending to 30 years with Air Products.
