Tahya Misr Fund launches humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza Strip

Cairo - Mubasher: The Tahya Misr Fund launched the comprehensive humanitarian aid convoy heading to the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development and civil society institutions, from the People's Square in the New Administrative Capital .
This comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s keenness to provide humanitarian and relief aid to support the Palestinian brothers, under the slogan “We share for humanity.”
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the convoy includes more than 460 trucks, carrying more than 7,200 tons of food and relief supplies, all necessary needs, medical supplies and medicines, to reach the Gaza Strip, with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan .
Abdel Ghaffar added that the event included the launch of the “Long Live Egypt” Fund for the “Doors of Goodness” initiative to ease the burdens on the shoulders of Egyptian families who are most in need of care, and to provide for their living needs during the holy month of Ramadan in all governorates of the republic, as the initiative provides 2.5 million cartons of dry food, meat, poultry and hot meals for breakfast and suhoor. A fasting breakfast campaign was also launched to benefit more than 3 million fasting people .
