Dubai: Alibaba Cloud, the digital and intelligence leader within Alibaba Group, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WeU Bank, the Middle East's leading digital financial platform, to accelerate innovation in cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and financial technology (FinTech). The MoU was signed on the sidelines of GITEX World 2025. This collaboration represents a significant step forward for the region's fintech sector and demonstrates both organizations' commitment to integrating the latest AI technologies to transform banking services.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen WeYou Bank's multi-cloud strategy and accelerate the adoption of generative AI by leveraging Alibaba Cloud's advanced Qwen language model, Artificial Intelligence (PAI) platform, and agent platforms. The two companies will also work together to create AI-powered banking agents to optimize operations and enhance customer service. Hosted securely on Alibaba Cloud's data centers in Dubai, the new platform will ensure greater scalability, efficiency, and speed to market.
