PRESSR: Dubai International Chamber opens its fourth representative office in the Netherlands in the European continent
The new office aims to attract investments and support Dubai companies in their foreign expansion plans

The opening of the new representative office comes as part of the “Dubai Global” initiative to attract direct investments and attract talent and new businesses to Dubai.
Dubai: Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, announced the opening of its new office in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam. It is considered the fourth representative office on the European continent, and the 25th representative office of the Chamber around the world.
This strategic step comes as part of the “Dubai Global” initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, and aims to establish an integrated network that includes 50 Dubai trade promotion offices around the world by the year 2030.
These offices aim to attract foreign direct investments, attract talent and new businesses to enhance the emirate’s position as one of the world’s leading commercial centers, while enabling Dubai-based companies to expand their business in 30 foreign markets of strategic importance.
The office was officially opened yesterday evening during a special ceremony held in Amsterdam with the participation of Ali Al Shehhi, Chargé d'Affairs of the UAE Embassy to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of Global Markets at Dubai Chambers, and a group of representatives of the private sector in the Netherlands.
On this occasion, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said: “The opening of our fourth office in Europe reflects our commitment to achieving our strategic priorities, as we have succeeded in making steady progress in enhancing our international reach and consolidating Dubai’s position on the global stage. We are committed to enabling Dubai companies to Successfully expanding into global markets, ensuring that the emirate maintains its role in attracting foreign direct investments, and supporting the ambitions of our wise leadership in supporting the economy and foreign trade.”
According to statistics issued by Dubai Customs, the volume of non-oil trade between Dubai and the Netherlands reached 5.11 billion UAE dirhams during the year 2022, while the number of new Dutch companies that joined the chamber during the first eight months of the current year (January - August) reached 236 companies. New, with a growth rate of about 35% compared to its number during the same period of the year 2022, which brings the total number of Dutch companies registered as members of the Chamber to 1,520 companies. It is expected that the new office will contribute to increasing the number of Dutch companies in the Dubai market, and enhancing bilateral trade between Dubai and the Netherlands.
The Chamber seeks to enhance trade between the two sides in various fields, including fruits and vegetables, antiques and artistic products, medical equipment, textiles, perfumes and cosmetics, in addition to exploring investment opportunities in other fields such as agricultural business, chemical products and creative industries.
In order to help Dutch companies enter the Dubai market and expand internationally, the new office will provide more focused field support to the local business community while highlighting the emirate's competitive advantages. The office will also be keen to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the public and private sectors to support Dubai companies wishing to expand in the Netherlands, and to connect them with trusted stakeholders and potential partners in the Netherlands who can help them enter the Dutch market and expand the scope of their operational operations.
Dubai International Chamber facilitates the expansion of the emirate's companies into foreign markets and attracts foreign direct investment to the emirate in order to enhance Dubai's established position as a global business centre. Foreign offices work to promote Dubai as the ideal business center for international companies and a gateway to access emerging markets by providing logistical services as well as providing a diverse and stimulating business environment for business growth.
