The authority confirmed in a statement that coordination is currently underway between the relevant authorities to complete the necessary procedures to resume flights between the two countries .

She explained that this step aims to enhance air traffic and support passenger and cargo movement between the UAE and Syria .

The day before yesterday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, received the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Sharaa, at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi, as part of the Syrian President's working visit to the UAE. Discussions took place on fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples .
