  • The contract renewal with Norway marks VFS Global's eighth global success in 2023

The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded VFS Global the global tender to provide visa and residence permit services in 52 countries around the world. Under this new agreement, VFS Global will continue to work on behalf of the Government of Norway throughout the world, including in the Americas, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Middle East and North Africa, Russia, Belarus, Armenia and South Asia.

It is noteworthy that VFS Global has worked with the Norwegian government since 2014 and has succeeded in dealing with approximately 1.5 million applications on its behalf.

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “We look forward to continuing smooth and professional cooperation with VFS Global on the provision of visa and residence permit services.” The cooperation we have developed has proven to be effective and fruitful, as our two organizations work well together in discharging their responsibilities and tasks.”

For his part, Chris Dix, Head of Business Development at VFS Global, said: VFS Global is pleased to continue providing services to the Government of Norway as its sole service provider. We have enjoyed a strong partnership and welcome the opportunity to renew our services in the current locations in which we operate. We look forward to providing best-in-class visa solutions and a seamless application process in all regions globally with an annual client base of 220,000. This is the eighth global contract we have won this year, and is a testament to our dedicated efforts to provide all our client governments with high-quality services.

This win comes shortly after VFS Global was appointed as the exclusive agent to manage the UK government's visa and passport services in 142 countries, serving the needs of approximately 3.8 million applications annually. In addition, VFS Global secured the prestigious global biometric collection service authorization with Australia, and successfully renewed the global visa service contract with Sweden.
