Cairo : PepsiCo Egypt, a leading food and beverage company, announced the appointment of Eng. Karim Khedr as Chairman and Managing Director. Khedr will lead the company's next phase of expansion and innovation, while strengthening its leading position in the Egyptian market and its role as a key partner in supporting the local economy.
Karim Khedr has over 24 years of experience in the food, beverage, and oil and gas sectors, including 16 years at PepsiCo. He began his career at PepsiCo Egypt, where he held various positions over seven years, eventually rising to President of Sales and Distribution. He then moved to various markets, assuming leadership roles in the Middle East and Asia. Prior to his current role, Karim Khedr held several prominent positions, including General Manager and Vice President of Beverages in Saudi Arabia and the Levant, and Vice President of Beverages in Southeast Asia, overseeing bottling operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Throughout his career, he has worked with diverse business models, including franchises, direct operations, and joint ventures, gaining extensive experience in leading diverse markets. He now returns to Egypt to share the knowledge and expertise he has gained throughout his international journey, in order to drive PepsiCo Egypt's growth and enhance its success.
