Egypt, Bahrain discuss enhancing cooperation and developments in Gaza Strip

Live: Badr Abdel Aati, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, met today, Monday, with Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain.
Minister Abdel Aati praised the brotherly and strong relations between Egypt and Bahrain, stressing the pivotal role played by Bahrain as the current president of the Council of the League of Arab States, pointing out the importance of continuing coordination and joint work to raise the level of distinguished cooperation between the two brotherly countries and move them to broader horizons in all fields, expressing keenness to cooperate in regional files, according to a press statement.
The two ministers reviewed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing coordination between the two brotherly countries regarding preparations for the Arab Summit hosted by Cairo on March 4, stressing the need to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the implementation of all its provisions in its three time periods, and the importance of moving forward with early recovery and reconstruction projects and programs, without the Palestinians leaving the Gaza Strip, and striving to reach a permanent and just political solution to the Palestinian issue through the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
