Egypt and Mauritania discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation and efforts to rebuild Gaza

Cairo - Mubasher: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Aati met with Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Dr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug on Monday.
Minister Abdel Aati expressed his aspiration to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, taking into account the strong relations that bind them, expressing his aspiration to hold the joint committee between the two sides, and praising the mutual coordination between the two sides on various issues at the regional level, especially with regard to Arab and African issues, pointing out the importance of working to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two sides, and benefiting from the capabilities available to the two countries, in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, according to a press statement.
The two ministers exchanged views on the Palestinian issue, efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement in its three stages and the delivery of humanitarian aid, as well as accelerating the start of the early recovery process, removing rubble and reconstruction. The importance of achieving the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, was also emphasized.
