To confirm the absence of Salah, Zizo, and Fathi from the Cape Verde match

- The Egyptian Football Association announced on Saturday that the national team's coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan, has given striker Mohamed Salah a break from training and that he will not participate in the friendly match against Cape Verde in the UAE next Monday.

The federation added in a statement on its website that Al-Ahly winger Ahmed Sayed (Zizo) and Al-Wakrah player Hamdi Fathi will miss the same match due to injury.

Zizo started in Egypt’s 2-0 loss to Uzbekistan on Friday in the friendly tournament held in the UAE, before leaving the field in the 59th minute , while Salah Mohsen came on as a substitute nine minutes later, and Fathi did not participate in the match.

The Egyptian Football Association said, "Mohamed Abou El-Ela, the national team doctor, revealed the initial diagnosis for the Egyptian national team trio Hamdi Fathi, Zizo and Salah Mohsen."

" Fathi is suffering from a leg muscle injury, while Zizo has a tendon injury around his knee, and Mohsen is suffering from a hamstring injury ."

The federation explained that Mohsen underwent recovery training.

The Egyptian national team held its training sessions in Al Ain in preparation for a friendly match against Cape Verde at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium to determine the third-place winner in the friendly tournament, which also includes Iran and Uzbekistan.
