Egypt's national team announces injuries to Zizo, Hamdi Fathi, and Salah Mohsen
Cairo, November 15 (Reuters Sports Service) - The Egyptian Football Association announced on Saturday that Al-Ahly winger Ahmed Mostafa (Zizo), Al-Wakrah player Hamdi Fathi, and Al-Masry player Salah Mohsen have been injured.
Zizo started in Egypt’s 2-0 loss to Uzbekistan on Friday in the friendly tournament held in the UAE, before leaving the field in the 59th minute, while Mohsen came on as a substitute nine minutes later, and Fathi did not participate in the match.
The Egyptian Football Association said in a statement on its website, "The national team's doctor, Mohamed Abu El-Ela, revealed the initial diagnosis for the Egyptian national team trio Hamdi Fathi, Zizo, and Salah Mohsen."
The statement added that Fathi is suffering from a leg muscle injury, while Zizo suffered a tendon injury around the knee, and Mohsen is suffering from a hamstring injury.
Egypt will play against Cape Verde next Monday in the third-place match of the friendly tournament, which also includes Iran and Uzbekistan.
