Holiday dates for major Arab stock exchanges during Eid al-Fitr

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Muscat to resume trading next Thursday

Dubai - Mubasher Exclusive: Stock exchanges in the Gulf and Egypt have announced the Eid al-Fitr holiday dates, with different dates for the end of the holiday and the resumption of work.

In Saudi Arabia, the financial market entered the Eid al-Fitr holiday at the end of last Thursday's session, March 27, 2025, with trading set to resume on Thursday, April 3.

In the UAE, the official holiday for the country's financial markets will begin Sunday, March 30, and continue until Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Official work will resume on Wednesday, April 2.

In Kuwait, the stock exchange will be closed starting Sunday, March 30, 2025, and will resume normal business on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

In Bahrain, the Bourse and Bahrain Clear will be officially closed starting Sunday, March 30, 2025, until Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with work resuming on Wednesday, April 2.

In Qatar, the Eid holiday will begin on Sunday, March 30, 2025, and will continue until Thursday, April 3, 2025. Trading on the stock exchange will resume on Sunday, April 6.

Muscat Stock Exchange will also be closed on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, starting from Sunday, March 30, and will resume operations on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Outside the Gulf region, the Egyptian Stock Exchange will observe Eid al-Fitr holiday from Monday, March 31, 2025, through Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Work will resume on Thursday, April 3.

It's worth noting that stock performance in the GCC and Egypt varied at the end of the last trading sessions before the weekend break, Thursday and Friday.
