Riyadh - Mubasher: The assets of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) increased by about 2.98% year-on-year (YoY) by the end of January 2025, an increase of SAR 54.1 billion compared to their value by the end of the same month last year.

The monthly statistical bulletin of the Central Bank, issued today, Thursday, showed that total assets rose to 1.871 trillion riyals by the end of last January, compared to 1.817 trillion riyals by the end of the same month in 2024 AD.

On a monthly basis, the Central Bank’s assets decreased by 0.55% in January 2025, compared to December 2024 levels, which amounted to 1.881 trillion riyals.

SAMA's assets were concentrated in the item of investments in securities abroad, which represents 53.38% of the total assets of the Central Bank, amounting to 998.63 billion riyals by the end of January 2025, compared to 1.005 trillion riyals in the same month of last year .

According to SAMA data, there are other items of assets, including deposits in banks abroad worth 337.5 billion riyals, and other miscellaneous assets worth 237.74 billion riyals.
