The deal is in line with Abu Dhabi Ports Group's strategy to strengthen its asset portfolio and divest from non-core stakes and investments

Madrid, Spain/Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), the leading global engine for trade, industry and logistics services, announced that its subsidiary Nuatom, which leads the group’s logistics sector operations, has completed the sale of its 27.9% stake in “ Barcelona Container Depot Service Group, with an equity value of €11 million, resulting in a one-off capital gain of €10 million.

It is worth noting that Barcelona Container Depot Services Group works in the field of storing, maintaining, repairing and cleaning dry and refrigerated containers in addition to tanks compatible with ISO standards. It operates its business from six locations across Spain, and the bulk of its operations are based in the city of Barcelona.

This deal comes in line with Abu Dhabi Ports Group’s strategy to enhance the proactive management of its asset portfolio, and generate revenues from non-core shares and investments through which it is not possible to have majority stakes and/or operational control.
