PRESSR: Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar hosts its first graduate conference
Doha: Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar will host, over the course of two days, the first conference organized by the college’s graduates, entitled “Updates in Primary Care: Case-Led Discussions Highlighting Latest Evidence and Best Clinical Practices,” on November 3 and 4 at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha. . The conference is coordinated by the Continuing Medical Education Department at the college. The conference aims to provide a comprehensive review of the latest developments and clinical practice guidelines for adult cases seen in primary care clinics. Its work will be led by Dr. Mah Rizvi, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar and Consultant in the Internal Medicine Intensive Care Unit at Hamad Medical Corporation (class of 2011), and Dr. Reshma Bullah, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar and Consultant Nephrologist. Children at Sidra Medicine (Class of 2011), and Dr. Tariq Choucair, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar and Consultant at the National Obesity Center at Hamad Medical Corporation (Class of 2015).
The conference targets family physicians, public health physicians and primary care physicians, and meets their professional needs in the context of healthcare in Qatar. The conference includes dialogues on disease cases led by specialists, in-depth discussions, and interactive meetings led by local and international specialists from different medical specialties. By presenting a wide range of multinational perspectives, attendees will benefit from a comprehensive understanding of adult conditions and their management.
