Riyadh - Mubasher: In an important step towards empowering future leaders in the field of sustainability, the Ministry of Economy and Planning announced the successful completion of the first phase of the "Sustainability Pioneers" program, by selecting future sustainability pioneers.

The ministry revealed, in a statement issued today, Sunday, that 63 specialized companies from various industries across the Kingdom will participate in this initiative; with the aim of enhancing institutional sustainability by strengthening cooperation between leading companies in vital sectors .

The program aims to support leading companies that have integrated sustainable practices into their operations, by guiding and supporting other companies to enhance their sustainability practices. Future pioneers will receive guidance from experienced pioneers, enabling them to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices, drive innovation, and enhance collaboration between different sectors, which will be an important focus for enhancing sustainability efforts across institutions in the Kingdom .

The joining of leading companies to the program is a clear indication of their commitment to shaping a more sustainable future for the Kingdom and achieving its national goals in this field by supporting and enhancing these initiatives, which are part of Saudi Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable and comprehensive development for current and future generations .

It is noteworthy that the Ministry launched the “Sustainability Pioneers” program in April 2024, as part of the work of the special meeting of the World Economic Forum, which was held in Riyadh.
