① Amazon (Amazon.com, Inc.(AMZN.US)) announced the acquisition of startup Bee AI, which produces a $50 wearable AI assistant;

On Tuesday local time, U.S. tech giant Amazon announced it will acquire startup Bee AI, the maker of a $50 wearable artificial intelligence assistant.

However, the specific acquisition amount was not disclosed by either party. Upon completion of the deal, Bee's AI voice wristband will be integrated into Amazon's hardware portfolio, marking its latest move to deepen its commitment to AI.

Bee co-founder Lourdes Zoro announced the acquisition on LinkedIn, stating: "When we founded Bee, we envisioned a world where AI is truly personal—understanding your life and evolving alongside you. Today, this journey begins a new chapter at Amazon."

It is reported that the wristband developed by Bee can record and transcribe user activities. Equipped with a multi-microphone array and proprietary AI models, it "listens" to user conversations in real-time, automatically generating summaries, to-do lists, and daily reminders.

According to PitchBook data, Bee was founded in 2022 under the name Bluush. and raised approximately $8.5 million from investors.

Amazon spokesperson Alexandra Miller stated that all employees of Bee have received offers to join Amazon as part of the agreement. She declined to disclose the amount Amazon paid for the startup, as the transaction has not yet closed.

This year, Amazon has intensified its AI product launches: its self-developed Nova large language model, Trainium chips, shopping chatbot, and third-party model marketplace Bedrock, among others.

The company has also comprehensively upgraded its Alexa voice assistant, introduced over a decade ago, equipping it with AI capabilities to counter the advances of ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.

Ring, Amazon's smart home brand, is also exploring applications of generative AI in home security scenarios. Amazon previously ventured into the wearable device space with a health and fitness product called Halo, but it received lukewarm market reception and quietly exited the market in 2023.

Meanwhile, other tech companies have launched consumer AI hardware. The Rabbit R1, leveraging OpenAI models and focusing on voice Q&A, has seen sales fall short of expectations, while Meta's smart glasses collaboration with Ray-Ban is gaining increasing popularity
