Baltic index snaps 3-day winning streak on lower capesize rates

April 15 (Reuters) - The Baltic Exchange's dry bulk sea freight index fell on Tuesday, snapping a three-day winning streak due to weaker capesize rates.
* The main index .BADI, which tracks rates for capesize, panamax and supramax shipping vessels, fell 19 points or 1.5% to 1,263.
* The capesize index .BACI shed 74 points or 4.1% to 1,753.
* Average daily earnings for capesize vessels .BATCA, which typically transport 150,000-ton cargoes such as iron ore and coal, decreased by $613 to $14,535.
* The panamax index .BPNI rose by 18 points to 1,208, marking a one-week high.
* Average daily earnings for panamax vessels .BPWT, which usually carry 60,000-70,000 tons of coal or grain, was up $161 at $10,873.
* Among smaller vessels, the supramax index .BSIS broke a 14-session losing streak, adding one point to reach 937.
