- BMW's BMWG.DE chief financial officer said the 1-billion-euro ($1.09 billion) figure mentioned earlier on Friday by its CEO was an estimate of the impact of newly imposed tariffs but was not a formal provision in its books.

The figure, based on the assumption that BMW absorbs all costs of tariffs and current sales projections, includes the potential impact of Europe's tariffs on BMW's China-made EV and new U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminium, imports from China, and imports from Mexico, CFO Walter Mertl said in a press call.

($1 = 0.9175 euros)
