SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 19 (SeeNews) - Haelan, the medical subsidiary of Bulgarian healthcare data analytics provider SAT Health, has agreed to acquire the medical business of local outpatient clinics operator Verum, with the aim of creating 20 medical centres in the country by 2026, SAT Health backer Invenio Partners said on Tuesday.
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024, subject to due diligence and various unspecified pre-agreed conditions to be fulfilled following the signing, the private equity fund Invenio Partners, which provided support for the transaction, said in a press release.
The parties did not disclose the value of the transaction. This is Haelan's fourth acquisition, and its largest to date, since Invenio Partners injected 3 million euro ($3.3 million) in the SAT Health business.

The acquisition of Verum will officially cement Haelan as the leader in the delivery of outpatient healthcare in Bulgaria," Slavcho Parushev, partner at Invenio, said.
Haelan, previously known as Home Medic, currently operates three medical centres in Sofia, its website shows.
Sofia-based Verum is owned by founder and current CEO Dr Branimir Raduilov. The group is active in Sofia through two medical centres, Polyclinics Bulgaria and First Pediatric Consulting Clinic. With 300 people, including 200 doctors, Verum has also developed a proprietary mobile-native healthcare software.
In December, Invenio Partners completed the joint acquisition, together with Accession Capital Partners, of the vocational education division of Serbia's Link Group.
