Despite the fact that Bumble Inc.'s (NASDAQ:BMBL) value has dropped 14% in the last week insiders who sold US$2.3m worth of stock in the past 12 months have had less success. Insiders would probably have been better off holding on to their shares given that the average selling price of US$6.26 is still lower than the current share price.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

Bumble Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Founder, Whitney Herd, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$2.3m worth of shares at a price of US$6.26 each. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The good news is that this large sale was at well above current price of US$3.35. So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels. Whitney Herd was the only individual insider to sell shares in the last twelve months.

We consider this fairly low insider ownership.
