Netflix, Target, Transocean And A Financial Stock On CNBC's 'Final Trades'

On CNBC's “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Joshua Brown, co-founder and CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, said Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) is a defensive stock.
CFRA analyst Kenneth Leon, on March 6, upgraded Netflix from Hold to Buy and announced a $115 price target.
Stephanie Link, CIO at Hightower, named Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) as her final trade.
As per the recent news, Target announced Wednesday it is lowering prices on more than 3,000 items across apparel, home goods, baby essentials, and select food and beverages as shoppers prepare for the spring season. The price reductions are mostly 5% to 20% lower than the original prices.

Jim Lebenthal, partner at Cerity Partners, picked Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG), which recently announced plans to acquire Valaris (NYSE:VAL) in an all-stock transaction valued at $5.8 billion.
Lending support to his choice, Susquehanna analyst Charles Minervino, on Feb. 23, maintained Transocean with a Positive and raised the price target from $6.5 to $7.5.
Joseph Terranova, senior managing director at Virtus Investment Partners, recommended CME Group Inc. (NASDAQ:CME), a financial stock.
On the earnings front, Lam Research, on Jan. 28, reported second-quarter earnings of $1.27 per share, which beat the Street estimate of $1.17 by 8.45%, according to Benzinga Pro. Quarterly revenue of $5.35 billion beat the analyst consensus estimate of $5.24 billion and was up from $4.38 billion from the same period last year.
Price Action:
- Netflix shares fell 0.6% to close at $94.31 on Thursday.
- Target shares fell 2.6% to close at $115.75 during the session.
- Transocean shares fell 0.5% to settle at $6.28 on Thursday.
- CME shares gained 2.6% to close at $311.19.
