INFLATION

National Bank of Poland Deputy Governor Marta Kightley said that if energy prices for households are deregulated in the first half of 2026, inflation could rise, but it should fall in the second half of next year and remain within the inflation target, the state-run PAP agency reported.


EBRD FORECASTS

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has raised its forecast for the Polish economy's growth rate in 2025 to 3.5% up from the 3.3% estimated in May. GDP growth in 2026 is expected to reach 3.4%, the EBRD said in a press release.


BOSCH FACTORY

Germany's Bosch is suspending construction of a heat pump factory in Poland due to growing political and economic uncertainty in Europe. The investment was estimated at 1.2 billion zlotys ($330.45 million) and was expected to employ 500 people, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reported.
