Individual Stock Performance
Stock Selection Method: Refer to the introduction in our column Breakthrough And Pullback ;
Selection Period: From 16/09/2024 to 15/10/2024 ( and the settlement date for the return is up to the 24/10/2024)
(Considering that we observe the stock's performance for at least a week after selection, the cut-off date for stock selection is set earlier than the current date).
Evaluation Sample: We selected 45 stocks during the evaluation period (some stocks were excluded based on our fundamental factors).
Entry Conditions: Establish a position on the day the selection signal appears. Each stock is assigned an initial investment of $10,000, with the entry price set at the opening price of the day (since the stock price can either rise or fall on the day the signal appears, we evaluated both opening and closing prices for entry. Results indicate that with a larger number of stocks and longer time periods, the differences are not significant).
Exit Conditions: We set a take-profit condition when a single stock's profit reaches 30%, or a stop-loss condition when a single stock's loss reaches 10%. Positions are closed based on the closing price (this take-profit and stop-loss ratio is adjustable, and since positions are closed at the closing price, it may result in individual stocks exceeding the 30% profit or 10% loss thresholds).
Transaction Fees: A buying fee rate of 0.05% and a selling fee rate of 0.15% (these are the default rates of the software; different brokers may have different fee rates, but this does not affect our overall results).
Additional Notes: This stock selection list may have slight differences compared to the usual column's selections. This is because regular stock selections are further refined, and not all results are fully displayed. This means that individual stocks in this article may not have appeared in the daily column. Additionally, our daily stock selection columns are typically published the day after the selection signal emerges, meaning that by the time readers see the article, it is one day delayed from the signal appearing.
However, please rest assured that, based on our testing, over a longer time horizon, these two factors have not significantly impacted the final test results.
Machine-generated stock selection and backtesting of success rates will always have slight differences compared to actual operations, as each investor has their own thought process. Even when seeing the same list of stocks, each investor's participation in the stock may differ slightly. This includes different entry and exit points, even for the same stock. However, this does not affect the reference value of our column.
