Probably the most concerning element of the whole transaction is that the disposal amounted to 84% of their entire holding.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Evolus
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Chairman of the Board Vikram Malik for US$1.3m worth of shares, at about US$7.41 per share. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of US$9.78. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Insider Ownership
For a common shareholder, it is worth checking how many shares are held by company insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 2.2% of Evolus shares, worth about US$12m. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
What Might The Insider Transactions At Evolus Tell Us?
An insider sold Evolus shares recently, but they didn't buy any. In contrast, they appear keener if you look at the last twelve months. It's good to see insiders are shareholders. So we're not overly bothered by recent selling. While we like knowing what's going on with the insider's ownership and transactions, we make sure to also consider what risks are facing a stock before making any investment decision. Be aware that Evolus is showing 3 warning signs in our investment analysis, and 1 of those doesn't sit too well with us...
