ISTANBUL, June 25 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 39.5870 against the U.S. dollar at 0500 GMT, compared with a close on Tuesday of 39.5850.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 3.36% higher at 9.448,90 points on Tuesday.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stocks stabilised on Wednesday as crude oil hovered near multi-week lows as a ceasefire between Israel and Iran buoyed sentiment, even as hostilities threatened to flare up again.

ERDOGAN - TRUMP MEETING

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said in a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump that advancing cooperation in the defense industry would help hit a $100 billion bilateral trade volume target, the Turkish Presidency said.

ERDOGAN ATTENDS NATO SUMMIT

President Tayyip Erdogan attends the annual NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands.

At a press conference before his departure on Tuesday, Erdogan said that defence trade limitations between NATO countries should be lifted unconditionally.

PARLIAMENT TALKS ON KURDISH ISSUE

Turkey's parliament held a cross-party meeting on Tuesday to discuss forming a commission on the Kurdish issue, a move seen as advancing a peace process after the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militant group decided to disband.
