PRESSR: Edge Group moves to the next phase of its counter-drone program with the Brazilian Navy

Abu Dhabi: Based on a letter of intent signed in April of this year, EDGE, a leading global advanced technology and defense group, and the Brazilian Navy announced the transition to the next phase of their joint counter-drone system, designed for deployment at strategic locations. A joint working group of technical experts from both sides has been established, and a demonstration is scheduled for December, with the first capability package expected to be delivered in 2026. This step represents the first phase of a broader process with the Brazilian Navy, which could potentially evolve into the development of missile defense systems.

The agreement was signed by Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE, and Vice Admiral Carlos Henrique de Lima Zampieri, Director of Naval Weapons Systems in the Brazilian Navy, during the Dubai Airshow 2025. This step represents the next phase of EDGE Group’s partnership with the Brazilian Navy, within a broader collaboration aimed at enhancing the operational effectiveness of the forces and their counter-drone capabilities.
