PRESSR: Abu Dhabi to unveil the world's first AI-powered digital government employee at GITEX World 2025
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates : Abu Dhabi today unveiled the world's first self-government feature, which automatically manages repetitive tasks. Tasks include license renewals, utility bill payments, and booking routine medical appointments. The feature operates without inconvenience or waiting for customer action, freeing up community members to perform their preferred personal tasks without having to worry about routine services. This coincided with the launch of the latest version of the Abu Dhabi Unified Government Services Platform, "Tamm," on the sidelines of GITEX World 2025.
The launch of the Autonomous Government feature within the "Tamm" platform will contribute to improving the level of services, as it represents a pivotal achievement in Abu Dhabi's journey to becoming the world's first government fully dependent on artificial intelligence, representing the next generation of integrated smart services. Autonomous Government can automatically manage recurring services, allowing customers to define their interests and customize automation, and giving them confidence that services will be implemented smoothly and securely.
This feature also extends the capabilities of the AI-powered "Tamm" smart assistant, enabling the smooth and simplified delivery of more than 1,100 government and private services through a unified digital platform. The "Tamm" smart assistant provides intelligent and proactive support that interacts and responds to interests and changes. It can complete many services on behalf of customers, enhancing personalization and proactiveness for every customer journey.
His Excellency Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kattab, Chairman of the Department of Government Empowerment - Abu Dhabi, said: “The launch of the self-government feature on the TAMM platform represents a qualitative shift in our journey towards the government of the future, as it redefines the impact of government on people’s lives. Today, the Abu Dhabi government is no longer merely interactive, but has become an intelligent partner to individuals, prioritizing their needs and enabling us to be present at the most critical times.
He added: "Abu Dhabi is presenting to the world a proactive digital government model capable of completing transactions in a proactive and integrated manner, by introducing the first digital government employee powered by artificial intelligence."
AI-powered proactive journeys
You can now experience the "Tamm" platform as a proactive companion, with artificial intelligence managing customer journeys across the entire platform, with the launch of several new features, in addition to self-government.
AI vision and smart guides simplify complex transactions through visual and audio guidance for all steps, as well as instant document capture, ensuring error-free applications. Translation and voice activation services ensure inclusive and accessible communication, enabling hands-free browsing in Arabic or English. Through personalized dashboards, the platform reminds customers of upcoming tasks, deadlines, and information tailored to their needs and priorities. All of these features transform transactions that used to take hours into seamless experiences that can be completed in moments.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Askar, Director General of TAMM - Department of Government Empowerment, explained: “The new features within the TAMM platform are redefining the role of government in daily life, shifting our focus from individual transactions to smart journeys that adapt to each individual’s needs. Individuals can now focus on their families, businesses, and ambitions, while knowing the efforts the government is making to support them. The AI-powered digital government employee allows individuals to reclaim their time and ensure their comfort.”
Redefining customer experiences
The TAMM platform goes beyond automation, offering customers new ways to communicate with the government in a more humane, accessible, and present format.
The scope of "Tamm Spaces" has been expanded to include three new platforms: Family, Mobility, and Our Health. The design of the four spaces focuses on important moments and daily needs, organizing essential services based on real-life experiences rather than government mechanisms, ranging from medical record management and school updates to mobility planning and engagement with local communities.
"Tamm" services will also be launched via hologram units across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, aiming to reimagine direct interaction via mobile units that allow citizens and residents to instantly and directly communicate with a government employee. Using hologram technology, employees will be able to provide direct personal support in Arabic and English instantly, in a manner that maintains the reliability of human interaction while maintaining the speed and ease of digital access.
In addition, a new "Tamm for You" service will be launched, allowing citizens, residents, visitors, and businesses to collaborate with the platform to propose and vote on services, and design them to align with the goals of the UAE's general community.
His Excellency Saeed Al Mulla, Director General of the Department of Government Empowerment, said: “The enhancements to the TAMM platform focus on bringing the government closer to everyday life. Our efforts are focused on providing effortless government services that make life simpler and more connected to the community we serve. This reinforces our confidence in the constant availability of proactive support, ensuring that the government takes into account the daily needs of community members, and that services adapt to the most critical moments.”
Expanding the unified "Tamm" platform
The TAMM platform continues to expand its ecosystem, now integrating more than 1,100 services from over 90 partners from the public and private sectors. New partnerships this year include the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Commera, and Wio Bank , in addition to offering services for the first time in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and Saaed. The new services will enable users to complete comprehensive and direct transactions with private sector partners within the platform and app.
The unveiling of the autonomous government within the "Tamm" platform, as part of the latest release of the unified "Tamm 4.0" platform, on the sidelines of GITEX World 2025, represents a significant milestone in the Abu Dhabi Digital Government Strategy 2025-2027. By announcing the first AI-powered digital government employee, the emirate is setting a new global standard in digital government, giving individuals confidence in the smooth and tailored nature of all transactions to suit their life priorities.
